Thanksgiving

It is Thanksgiving today here where we live. Mommy and Granny went out to dinner yesterday with our big sister and another friend to celebrate, and today, we are all thinking of something we are thankful for in our lives.

Vera says she is thankful for cooler weather finally arriving! It has been 26 to 30 degrees celsius right up until last Friday, but now we are into regular fall weather. Much as we enjoy summer, it is a big relief to be able to go outside again without feeling sick from the heat!

Riley is thankful for her big brother Michael. He teaches her lots of things and protects her when she feels scared. I think Michael is thankful for Riley, too, but he would never admit it!

Chloe is thankful for all the toys we have. She is also very thankful for us being able to play together all the time, so we never have to feel lonely.

Sofia says she is especially grateful for all our pets! We have the best pets. They are always playful and loving.

Michael is thankful for his best friend, Theo. They get up to a lot of mischief sometimes, but they sure make the rest of us laugh!

Bet you can guess what Joy is thankful for before I even say it? Books! We all love to read, and are grateful whenever we get a new book of our own, or get to borrow books from the library.

As for me, I am thankful for all my family and friends, and for this special time of year when we get to spend time together with one another. Oh…and I am really thankful that Christmas is getting closer, because it is another time when we all get to celebrate together again.

Whether you celebrate Thanksgiving right now, like we do here in Canada, or whether you celebrate it on a different date, we hope you are all enjoying time with family and friends. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us to you!

    • What a lovely compliment about our little stories – Thank you! I think it is easy to forget how blessed we are at times, and Thanksgiving is always a reminder to me and my family, that we have so many things to be grateful for. 🙂

    Happy Thanksgiving !

    • It is one of the nicest things about Thanksgiving, that it is a time to celebrate without commercialism, for sure! We enjoy exchanging gifts at Christmas, but only in the spirit of love for the family and friends we gift to. We do not celebrate St. Nicholas Day here, so we will have to learn more about it! Thank you for your good wishes. We had a lovely Thanksgiving. 🙂
