A School Skirt for the Kruselings

It is still very warm here outside, but Mommy has been thinking ahead to colder weather, and so she has made us a new woollen skirt for school. It features pleats that grow in size, resulting in a bit of a flare at its hem. I am wearing the skirt here with my bathing suit top, because it is too hot today to wear wool! Mommy says she will make a jacket to go with the new skirt sometime this week. Hopefully by the time it is finished, the weather will have cooled down enough to model a complete suit for you.

If you are interested in getting someone at your house to knit you a skirt like this one, Mommy is putting the pattern at the bottom of this blog post.

Before that though, here are the ABC baby photos Mommy posted on the Facebook challenge over the past two weeks:

L is for lantern and llama.

M is for marshmallows. Yum!

N is for Noah’s ark.

O is for on and off.

P is for piano.

Q is for quilt.

R is for Russian dolls.

S is for swimming pool.

T is for trophy,

U is for underground.

V is for vacuum.

W is for water.

X is for a xanthic cat.

Sadly, we had to take our little black kitty back to the veterinarian again last week. We lost her to cancer. We miss you, Verity. 🙁

  1. Ooohh! I can’t wait to get started on this skirt and surprise my Frances Sophia. She doesn’t have any skirts (yet).

So sorry to read about Verity. What a tough loss .

    • We don’t have many skirts either, Auntie H., so we were really happy that Mommy made us one. We hope Frances Sophia will enjoy her surprise very much. When Mommy makes the jacket though, you know that Frances Sophia will want one of them, too, right? Thank you for your condolences. It is hard to say good-bye to someone you love.
