Baby Time

Mommy wanted to knit a dress for the AG Caring for Babies this week, but it got much too hot here to knit! Suddenly, the sun is shining and the heat is on, but unfortunately, our air conditioning isn’t not on, yet…So, Mommy did some crocheting with cotton yarn instead.

Mommy bought the babies some lovely onesies on Etsy from a shop called SewandBow (https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/SewandBowCo?ref=yr_purchases). She decided to make Susie, Sukie and Eugenie a skirt, and for our boy, Ellis, a pair of romper shorts.

Sukie and Susie got their skirts first. They love them because they are so comfortable and never fall down either.

The skirt has gored panels, a lace edge at the hem, and straps that cross over at the back. The back of the skirt and the straps are secured with small snap fasteners.

Ellis’ romper shorts also have the crossover straps and are made roomy enough for him to climb and run with ease.

If you have a baby or two in your home, the skirt and romper shorts can be made in just a few hours, and your babies will love them! Here is the pattern below:

    • We are so happy you like the baby outfits, Auntie B.. Our babies are still showing them off here at home – we are afraid they are getting quite silly about it!

Nous sommes si heureuses que vous aimiez les tenues de bébé, tante B.. Nos bébés les montrent toujours ici à la maison – nous avons peur qu’ils deviennent assez idiots à ce sujet !

    • Thank you, Auntie E.. The babies are dancing around showing off how their skirts flounce and Ellis is actually doing somersaults at the moment. We think the new outfits are certainly a big hit with them!

Merci, tante E.. Les bébés dansent en montrant comment leurs jupes volent et Ellis fait des sauts périlleux en ce moment. Nous pensons que les nouvelles tenues sont certainement un grand succès avec eux !
