A Fashion Show!

Mommy has been busy making clothes for Baby Star, the Sasha baby for the charity auction at this year’s Sasha Festival in July. So, Star is going to model all the outfits she has so far!

We’ve already shown Star’s first two outfits, her yellow snowsuit and her lacy dress, but she wanted us to include them here anyway.

After celebrating the Lunar New Year last week in her pink cotton crocheted dress and bolero, Star changed into her comfy sleepers. She likes them because they are made of flannel, and keep her toes extra warm!

Here, Star is modelling a romper that features lace trim, and rosettes on the bodice. It’s perfect for a hot summer day when she has to dress up a little to go visiting family or friends.

For cooler weather, Star can choose this fancy dress, with matching panties, when she goes visiting.

Star loves the three heart-shaped buttons that accent the bodice of this dress.

Another choice for hot summer days, is this cute romper with its matching hat. It is made from fabric that features mini llamas, which Mommy bought because it reminded her of when she and Auntie S. visited llamas on a farm in Prince Edward Island.

Star’s knitted dress features a honeycomb stitch accent, and underneath, she is wearing matching panties. She loves wearing this dress with her funky sweater and pom pom hat.

The theme for this year’s Festival is Sasha as a rock star, which is how Star got her name in the first place. Here, she is showing off the beginning of her rock star outfit…Mommy is still working on this one, so it will continue to morph over the next few weeks.

The last outfit Star has so far, is this kilt and cardigan set. It is made from a Shetland wool yarn, given to Mommy by Auntie S., a few years ago.

Mommy made the pattern for the cardigan herself, so she is sharing the pattern below.

    • The Sasha mom will have to bid on Star and the clothes so hopefully it will be someone who loves the little “Sandy” style of baby! She is one of my favourites with her honey blonde hair, so it is great fun to make clothing for her. Thank you for saying the person who gets her will be lucky – it is a lovely compliment.

  1. What a wonderful thing to use your talent in such a way that everybody wins! You win in designing and making, you share your designs and others enjoy them and when you donate Star someone else gets to enjoy what you have done and children in need will benefit from the auction. Everybody wins! I can’t knit to save my life but I love to look at what you have made. I have often gone to the Sasha Festival and sometimes taken a small part in the auction. How wonderful to do fun things that bless people!
