A Simple T-Shirt for Sasha

While the little ones are glued to the TV watching cartoons, because it is minus 30 degrees celsius here today, much too cold to play outside – brrrrr, I thought I would share a new pattern with you.

I wanted a simple t-shirt for Sasha that would be knit top down, but with a slightly scooped neck. The first version above, in white, is made with a wide scoop neck and short bodice. The second version, in blue, is made with a tighter neckline, a garter stitch accent and a slightly longer bodice.

The tighter neckline works well for Sasha baby, too.

Both versions of the t-shirt close at the back with buttons, to make it easy to dress Sasha and Sasha baby.

The t-shirts were made again in crochet cotton size 10, so they work nicely as a twin set with the Feather and Fan Stitch Cardigan offered previously here in November 2021: https://smalldolladventures.ca/2021/11/28/snow-and-lace-for-the-sashas/

The patterns are listed here below, if you would like to make either version:

Next row: Purl row.

Work 10 more rows even in stockinette stitch, or until desired length is reached ( adding buttonholes if needed, as before).

A Simple T-Shirt for Sasha

    • Thank you, C.! I love that the t-shirt can match the cardigan so well. I plan to make the cardigan in another colour, and then do the t-shirt with the lace pattern on its bottom edging to match, but that is work for another day. First, I want to make a pattern for the Kruselings to have the shirt in their size.

Merci, C.!

    • What a lovely compliment! Thank you, P.. Making them up is what is keeping me sane – it feels like Covid and all the restrictions are never going to end, and it gets pretty sad some days…Keep on crafting!
