Snow! And, Lace for the Sashas

When we woke up this morning, it had snowed! This is our first real snowfall of the season, so we were very excited to see the white snowflakes everywhere. We wanted to go sledding, but…

Michael had forgotten to fix our sled, which he had broken last winter on a steep hill. Oh well, he has glued it together now, so if the snow sticks around, we will go sledding tomorrow. Riley was very disappointed though.

Michael consoled Riley by playing with her all day. Here they are, wondering why so many people are at the mall, instead of playing in the snow.

Lucky sisters! Mommy made a cardigan for our big Sasha sisters this week. She wanted to see what a cardigan made from the size 10 crochet cotton would look like, knitted up for the bigger girls.

We think it looks really pretty, and we are trying very hard not to be jealous, because we want Santa Claus to know that we are not greedy girls! Mommy is putting the pattern below so whomever knits in your family, can make the cardigan, just in case there is someone in your house who would like to have one.

  1. Love the pattern. Think I will give this one a try too after the baby onesie turned out so well. Can I ask how much of the crochet cotton I need please?

    • We can’t wait to go out to play in the snow today, Auntie C.! Auntie E. sent us a lovely photo of the two of you with our cousins. You all looked like you were having a really fun visit – we wish we could have been there in Paris, too…but then, we would have missed the snow.

  3. Oh how lucky you are children !!! I really like snow and haven’t seen it for a long time. In Paris it rarely snows and the faster it becomes gray and muddy. It is not pretty.
Cynthia, I love Sasha’s waistcoat. I would certainly find a young lady to whom he would go in my large household of dolls.
Thank you very much for your beautiful snow photos and the vest tutorial.

    • The snow will get muddy here eventually, too, Auntie E., but in the park, it will still be white and pretty. We are happy you like our sister’s new cardigan. Mommy days she will make us a new dress pattern next for Christmas, then your girls will be happy, too!

    • Mommy had to get help from various tech support people, but eventually, everything got sorted out, and now we can keep posting our adventures – we are so glad because we would miss everyone if we could not tell you all our stories! We are glad you like our sister’s cardigan, too. We think she looks very pretty in it.
