Now that summer is arriving, I asked Mommy if she could make me a sunsuit to play in. It’s been awfully hot here for awhile now. Mommy got out her crochet hook, and look what she made me!

My new sunsuit is really comfortable to move around in.

I am going to really enjoy lying around in the sun this summer when we go to the park. All my sisters want a sunsuit like mine now, even Riley. Mommy says she will see what other colours she has in her cotton thread stash.
If you can convince your Mommy or Daddy to make you a sunsuit like mine, here is the pattern they can use:
Kruselings Crocheted Sunsuit
Materials:
Crochet Cotton size 10 – I used Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread Classic 10
1.50 mm steel crochet hook
Abbreviations and Stitches Used:
Ch – chain stitch
Sc – single crochet
Dc – double crochet
Sl st – slip stitch (used to join stitches/rows)
Sc/dc – work 1 sc, then 1 dc in same stitch
Rev sc – Work a sc in each stitch, but working backwards across row instead of forward, as would be usual.
Tension:
9 sc or dc to an inch/2.5 cm
Crocheted Sunsuit:
Beginning at top of sunsuit bib, chain 10.
- Work 1 sc, then 1 dc in second chain from hook (first sc/dc made), *skip 1 chain, sc/dc in next chain,* repeat from star to star to last 2 chains, skip 1 chain, sc in last chain. Ch1, turn.

Wow! Super beautiful this summer swimsuit. Thank you for the tutorial, I will try to achieve it. Yes, I’m not doing much at the moment because I have a problem with a finger on my left hand. Thank you again for all your little doll stories.
Kisses
We are sad about your finger – Mommy has had a hard time doing things, too, after breaking her wrist. Our sunsuit is the first thing she has crocheted since her cast came off, and she says it hurt a bit doing it. Although, maybe that is just an excuse so she doesn’t have to work too fast about making us more sunsuits, who knows?
vivement que la chère Edwige vienne en séjour ici… pour que nous fassions des maillots de bain ensemble… !!!
ce qui est bien c’est qu’il est une seule pièce (évitant les coups de soleil !)
Yes, we don’t want to get sunburnt, and the one piece is great for climbing trees and things like that. It is so, so comfy, too.
merci beaucoup celle combinaison short est très jolie
Chantal
Thank you. We are glad you like it. We can’t wait for Mommy to make us more in other colours!

We are happy you like our sunsuit pattern, and even happier that Mommy has made us one!Have a good day, too.
Gorgeous! We love it. My girls took a quick peek from under their blankets – it’s winter here in the land downunder and they say they are pretending to be bears and are hibernating until the weather warms up :)) Anyway, they have put in their orders for sunsuits in different colours ready for summer. They love the idea of bikinis or bathing suits as well.
Thank you for your compliment. Winter…well, you have lots of time to make the sunsuits at least! Knowing Mommy, we will be lucky to get one more sunsuit by the end of the summer – ha, ha, ha. Mommy has a bathing suit pattern. We will try to convince her to post the pattern soon. Don’t get too cold in the meantime,
That is adorable! It’s getting pretty hot here. You might have to make a bikini next!
We already have some bathing suits, but we have to share them…so maybe some bikinis would be a good idea!
