We don’t know why, but Mommy wanted a new baby to come to our house for her birthday gift, so Granny arranged for Taffy to come and live with us. She had to come all the way from England so she only just arrived this week. We like her all right, but she has stinky diapers!
Of course, Mommy took her right away to our local yarn store, which finally opened back up this week, too.

Taffy got very spoiled. Mommy bought quite a few yarn colours to make her some outfits.

I told Mommy some of her yarn is too thick for a baby like Taffy, but she said it doesn’t matter, because Taffy needs some blankets and bedding, too. Then, Mommy said not to worry, because she had something in mind for me, too!

A few weeks ago, Mommy saw a rain cape that one of her friends E. had made. She decided she would try to make us a knitted cape in a similar style, because right now, we don’t have rain, just cold weather. Do you like our cape? I love it! It is really cozy to wear and I got to pick the fancy buttons. It even has room for my hair when I put up the hood.
Mommy is posting the pattern below if you want to get your Mommy or Daddy to knit you a cape like mine.

You are welcome. I think you are right that it could work for many small dolls. It would be easy to add or shorten rows or change the yarn and tension to make it fit anyone. I am happy you like the pattern.
